Karen & Matt’s Chateau Bu-De Winery Wedding | Maryland Wedding Photographer
If you’re looking for an amazing wedding venue in the Chesapeake Bay MD area, look no further than Chateau Bu-De Bohemia Manor Farm. Karen and Matt’s Chateau Bu-De Winery wedding was amazing! A perfect mix of intimate elegance with fun fall decor. It is October afterall! I loved the mix of succulents and pumpkins created by Terrarium Therapy and Elkton Florist.
Karen’s beautiful lace dress is by Allure Bridal, found at Claire’s Fashions. Matt rocked an awesome subtle-plaid suit by Ted Baker. And T&M Catering made the dinner an awesome one with family-style plates. Along with a simply beautiful cake adorned with succulents to match the rest of the room.
This was a truely intimate day, surrounded by the closest of family with only 22 guests. It’s not every wedding that you can get a photo with each and every guest together. And long-time friend David from 2 Hearts 2gether 4ever married them right by the water of the Chesapeake Bay.
Their love story –
They first met at a golf event. Karen was taking a lesson with a group of women from work and Matt was one of the instructors. A few months later, they randomly ended up at a dinner together with a small group of people. They recognized each other, began chatting and set up time for a lesson and date and the rest is history.
The proposal –
We were about to start a 5k run for Breast Cancer Awareness (a cause near and dear to us). I pulled Karen off to the side just after we crossed the start line to propose. I coordinated with the Race directors to play one of our songs while proposing. A friend stood ready to take video on her phone of the proposal. And another friend was on the sidewalk with a Bride to be Crown and a shot of Irish Whiskey (Karen is very Irish) ready to go. Needless to say we didn’t win the actual race but we won each others hearts forever.
