Find the Perfect Wedding Dress at Yes to the Dress
Everyone has a different budget at expectations for their wedding day. I personally went the DIY route, with hand-painted wine bottles and flowers made from tissue paper as decor (all made by me BTW!) And you’ll have to know I’m an avid “thrifter”, it’s one of my main hobbies. So when my wedding was fast approaching I went with a super alternative idea and found my wedding dress at the Salvation Army thrift store!! It was a strapless, knee-length summer dress with boning for shape. It literally cost me $20 + extra for alterations. Can you imagine?? Now as a wedding photographer I realize how crazy that was but it totally worked for me and I was super proud of such a bargain. If only I knew about finding the perfect wedding dress at Yes to the Dress.
But I am definitely not your typical bride!
And I don’t necessarily recommend going my method of finding the perfect wedding dress. Now that I am a wedding photographer, I see so many beautiful wedding dresses. And I get a little bit jealous of other brides sometimes that I didn’t have that gorgeous, flowing dress. If you’re looking for that perfect wedding dress, you should check out Yes to the Dress located in Southampton, PA – a bit outside of Philadelphia. Their Spring 2018 collection is swoon-worthy!! You can take a look at their website and see the four different designer collections they offer and even see which ones they currently have in store.
I had the pleasure of photographing two beautiful models in two of my favorite wedding dresses there. And they even got to model the other sides of things, in bridesmaids dresses. Let’s start there… Here is the beautiful Kisha Bar in a Jasmine : Belsoie – a sleeveless, v-neck, trumpet style almond colored dress. And Polina Osipova in a stunning purple slim A-line dress with sweetheart neckline.

And here’s what we all came for… the wedding dress. Any future bride does need to make an appointment and stop it to view dresses and try things on. That’s where you’re going to realize what does and does not flatter your body and what you feel comfortable wearing (and spending). Every body is different and wedding dresses are definitely not one size fits all. But they have a ton to choose from and going in will help you narrow down your options for the perfect dress.
Here are just two STUNNING dresses that they have at Yes to the Dress.
Lillian West Collection – boho chic collection hand-placed lace trendy, romantic styles that are stunning yet comfortable. Kisha is ROCKING it with this slim A-line silhouette with illusion neckline.
And finally, Polina in a Sweetheart dress.
This collection blends all of the best in bridal right now – modern clean, skirt interest, deep V-necklines, and illusion cut-outs – for brides seeking on trend styles at a great price. This ballgown dress features an off the shoulder neckline and short lace sleeves.
