September Boyertown Wedding | Nicole and Mike

Where do I even start with these two… seriously, I’ve never met a more in love couple before in all my years of photographing weddings! Obviously anyone getting married is in love. But these two, just being in their presence you can feel the love radiating all around. I met Nicole and Mike last year over coffee and chatted about their September Boyertown wedding day that seemed so far away. We had a super fun engagement session at Springton Manor Farm, you can see their photos here.

Nicole and Mike’s wedding day was absolutely gorgeous. Perfect weather and it was actually pretty hot when we went outside for portraits. They got ready and had their ceremony at the beautiful Saint Columbkill Church in Boyertown, PA. They did not see each other before the wedding so when she walked down the aisle, it was an especially special moment. There wasn’t a dry eye in the whole church. And with a custom made aisle runner with a special message from Nicole to her father, how could there be. The ceremony was complete with a bubble exit (love those!!), then some quick family photos right outside. And then we were off to Wilcox Farms, just down the street. There, a tractor was waiting for us and all the bridal party to take us to the other end of their farm for photos.

A perfect place in Boyertown for Photos

And wow, Wilcox Farms is just beautiful! Most of their land is tucked away where they live but they have a produce store, play area for kids and a giant corn maze across the street. I had never been there before even though it’s very close to my house. Nicole and Mike did an awesome job setting up this location for photos, it was SO worth it! We had lots of fun doing a few bridal party photos and then portraits of the bride and groom. The light was just so perfect right at that moment where we were. Then the tractor gave us a ride back to our cars and we were off to their reception venue.

Keystone Firehall Reception

Their Keystone Firehall reception was just too cute!! All of the decor was DIY by Nicole, friends and her mother. And they did a really amazing job transforming the hall space into a truly magical place. They had that firehall packed with loved ones to surround them on their perfect day. Nicole and Mike were introduced with cowboy and cowgirl hats and a hobby horse. Perfect to match the cowgirl boots she was wearing under her wedding gown.

Everyone had so much fun dancing the night away to the tunes of DJ Kevin Khude from Sound Factor Entertainment. And the food just kept coming out of the kitchen, big bowls of it and everyone ate family style. It was so fun to be invited to sit down with their guests and enjoy a bite of food! And Nicole had a very special surprise planned where she shared a dance with her mom. And by the end of the song, everyone was invited to come on the dance floor with their own mothers. It was so sweet!

Where it all Began

Nicole and Mike were married on their 6 year dating anniversary. That is so cool!! I asked Nicole how her and Mike met and here is their story…

We met in August 2011 at work, began talking and getting to know each other. On September 16th, 2011 he asked me to be his girlfriend. He proposed on our 4 year anniversary with the Michael Kors purse I was dying for. (Inside was personalized M&Ms, a teddy bear & a card) Written on the card was a long message on how much he loved me and how much I meant to him. When i got to the bottom it had “more on back” When I flipped over the card it said “Turn around!” As I turned around Michael was down on one knee with the most beautiful ring ever! I was so shocked & entirely not expecting it (but very happy/thankful).
