Valley Forge Family Photos at Washington’s Headquarters
Sometimes life gets so busy that you realize after years of living in the area, you’ve never explored a nearby National Park. Only 20 minutes from my home is Valley Forge National Park. Yes, the one from the history books. And I only recently explored a bit of the National Park near the visitors center for the first time a few months ago. Funny story is the Groder family lives only 5 minutes away, Valley Forge is literally in their backyard (ok slight exaggeration). And they too only recently explored Valley Forge as well. So when they suggested to do their updated family photos at Valley Forge I was very excited! They wanted to do their Valley Forge Family Photos at Washington’s Headquarters. That’s right, THE home that George Washington lived in during the American Revolutionary War in 1777–78. Pretty cool.
We did their Valley Forge Family Photos at Washington’s Headquarters right before sunset. We were aiming for that beautiful golden hour which we were lucky enough to get at the very end of their session. Because it was later in the evening, we couldn’t actually go inside the Washington’s headquarter building. But I definitely plan on going back and doing some sight seeing myself sometime soon. The nearby history site is pretty cool to see in person and explore.
I’ve had the pleasuring of photographing this family a couple times before. This is one of my favorite photos from just after their youngest was born. And this is one of my favorite families to take photos of! It’s so fun to watch my clients children grow and get cuter and cuter. I’m getting ready to deliver their final images to them and wanted to share these Valley Forge Family Photos at Washington’s Headquarters. Enjoy!
